Nuestras Raíces is an iconic agricultural non-profit based in Holyoke, MA, with international recognition. It is a model how to bring urban agriculture to a post-industrial city, and its successes have been adapted and utilized throughout the U.S.

When we did a redesign for Nuestras Raíces, we were told three things: (1) They wanted a website which accurately portrayed their organizational culture, (2) They wanted the website to be bilingual – Spanish and English, and (3) They needed to give a good first impression to funders.

The background image on the website is a picture of the mural that is painted on the front of their headquarters at 329 Main St. Visitors will instantly recognize this unique image.

The website is fully bilingual. Training to correctly create web pages that effortlessly transitioned between English and Spanish through the click of a button was provided.

As of June 2015, Nuestras Raices has received two major grants totaling over a half million dollars. While we can’t take any credit for this amazing feat, we like to think their website didn’t hurt their application, either.

Sean is a valuable technical assistance resource for Nuestras Raices, an urban agriculture and community development organization in Massachusetts that serves the Latino community. Our organization is growing rapidly and Sean is always available and very knowledgeable as we expand our online presence, and organize our internal technical processes and solutions. He communicates well with non-technical staff, and stays in close touch throughout all phases of our project work together. Nuestras Raices appreciates Sean’s service and the solutions he provides.
